Reporting to the Manager of Data Architecture, the Data Architect is responsible for creating and implementing the architecture, data science and analytics necessary to deliver high quality data and analytics to our customers.
Essential Functions
- Designing DB schema, data models for Azure based data warehouse
- Review and understand data requirements for all projects, with a special emphasis on projects focused on reporting, analytics and data warehousing
- Collaborate with business and other teams to refine and document system data requirements
- Perform data analysis activities including data profiling, creation of data dictionaries, data transformation rules and integration requirements
- Develop, document and maintain logical and physical data models for all applications;
- Coordinate across organizations as required to support data integration efforts;
- Support and apply data standardization policies
- Other related activities, as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related discipline
- 3-5 years relevant experience in data architecture and/or data science with a specific focus on modeling structured and unstructured data for use in BI environments
- 3-5 years’ experience designing complex and large database schema, data models
- Experience working within Azure Warehouse Designing DB schema, data models for Azure based data warehouse
- Proven experience implementing root cause analysis and process improvements in a dynamic organization
- Experience using development tools such as Visual Studio, Git, SQL Server Management Studio, SSIS, SSAS and SSRS
- Experience using PowerBI a plus
- Knowledge of machine learning a plus
- Knowledge of the health care industry including Electronic Health Records and Population Health Management solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
